## Overview Page Variations for Different Users

The KoinX Overview Page dynamically adjusts based on your account activity, things like your transaction volume, estimated capital gains, derivative income, TDS deducted, and portfolio value. Instead of showing the same information to everyone, KoinX analyses your data and surfaces the most relevant insight and next step for your specific situation.

Expand the variation that matches your situation to see how it appears on your [Overview Page](https://app.koinx.com?redirect=overview):

## Overview Page Walkthrough

Let's walk through the key sections of the Overview Page. The example below is based on the **Notice Risk** scenario — one of the most common situations for Indian crypto users.

### Financial Year Selector

At the top of the page, you'll find the financial year selector, for example, **FY 2025–2026**. You can switch between financial years using the dropdown. All data on the Overview Page including the TDS summary, transaction count, and personalised banner — updates based on the year you select.

### Integrations: Syncing Your Crypto Data

The **Integrations** section shows all the exchanges and wallets you have connected to KoinX. Each integration is listed with its name and logo.

If you have more integrations than the preview can display, click **View All** to see the complete list. You can also connect a new exchange or wallet at any time using the **Add New** button.

<Tip>
  Ensure all your exchanges and wallets are correctly integrated for accurate TDS reporting and tax calculations.
</Tip>

### Your Personalised Banner

Below the Integrations section, KoinX displays a personalised banner based on your account activity. This is the section that differs from user to user.

**Example — Notice Risk banner:**

* The IT department already has your TDS data on record through exchange reporting.
* Over 44,000 crypto traders received IT notices last year.
* Penalties under Section 270A range from 50% to 200% of tax due.
* A risk meter (scored out of 100) shows your current notice risk level.
* A CTA button lets you file your ITR directly from this page.

<Note>
  The banner shown on your Overview Page depends on your specific account data. Refer to the "Overview Page Variations for Different Users" section above to understand which banner applies to you.
</Note>

### Right-Side Panel

On the right side of the Overview Page, KoinX displays a card with the most important estimated numbers from your account, your estimated capital gains, TDS deducted, or potential refund amount based on your activity for the selected financial year.

This panel also gives you a direct option to purchase the Tax Report plan or the ITR Filing plan, depending on what you need. It reflects the same scenario as your main banner, so you always have the key number and the next step in the same view.

**After purchasing a plan**, the right-side panel updates to show a fuller breakdown of your estimated gains for the selected financial year:

* **Capital Gains** - estimated profit from selling crypto
* **Net Derivative Gains** - estimated gains or losses from futures and options trading
* **Other Gains** - estimated income from staking, airdrops, and other crypto earnings
* **Total Gains** - the combined estimated figure across all categories

From here, you can:

* Click **View My Tax Reports** to access your generated tax report.
* Click **Detailed Tax Calculation** to open the Tax Breakdown modal (see below).

A separate **Expert Assisted Filing** card also appears below the gains panel, giving you the option to have a tax professional handle your ITR filing end to end.

### Tax Breakdown

Clicking **Detailed Tax Calculation** opens the Tax Breakdown modal. This gives you a line-by-line view of how your estimated tax liability is calculated for the selected financial year:

| Field                              | What It Shows                                          |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Capital Gains** | Estimated profit from crypto sales |
| **Net Derivative Gains** | Estimated gains or losses from F\&O trades |
| **Other Gains** | Estimated income from staking, airdrops, etc. |
| **Capital Gains Tax** | Estimated tax on your capital gains |
| **Derivative and Other Gains Tax** | Estimated tax on derivative and other income |
| **Total Taxable VDA Income** | Combined estimated taxable crypto income |
| **TDS Credit** | TDS already deducted by exchanges, applied as a credit |
| **Net Crypto Tax Payable** | Your estimated final tax liability after TDS credit |

<Note>
  Net Crypto Tax Payable is estimated based solely on your crypto profit/loss data and may vary if you have additional sources of income.
</Note>

From this modal, you can directly click **File ITR with an Expert** to proceed with assisted ITR filing.

### TDS and Transactions Summary

<Badge>For Indian Users</Badge>

The **TDS and Transactions Summary** section provides a breakdown of TDS deducted and total sale value across each of your connected integrations for the selected financial year.

| Column               | What It Shows                                           |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Integration** | The exchange or wallet the data is pulled from |
| **Transactions** | Total number of transactions recorded from that source |
| **TDS Deducted** | Total TDS deducted by the exchange on your crypto sales |
| **Total Sale Value** | Total value of crypto sold through that integration |

The Total row at the bottom consolidates all integrations into a single view. This section lets you verify your TDS data across all platforms before generating a tax report or filing your ITR.

<Tip>
  If any integration shows unexpected values or is missing transactions, go to the Integrations page and verify that your data has synced correctly.

## Frequently Asked Questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why is my Overview Page different from what someone else sees?">
    The Overview Page is personalised based on your account activity — things like your transaction volume, estimated gains or losses, TDS deducted, and portfolio value. KoinX analyses this data and shows the banner and panel most relevant to your situation. Two users on the same platform can see completely different banners depending on their activity.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does my Overview Page show estimated figures and not exact numbers?">
    The Overview Page shows estimated figures until you purchase a Tax Report plan for the selected financial year. Once you purchase, KoinX unlocks the exact numbers — your precise gains, tax liability, and a full breakdown. The estimates are there to give you a sense of your tax situation before you decide to proceed.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="My Overview Page shows a Notice Risk banner. Does that mean I have already received a notice?">
    No. The Notice Risk banner means KoinX has detected that TDS has been deducted from your crypto transactions, which means the IT department already has a record of your trading activity. It's a proactive alert — not a confirmation that a notice has been issued. Filing your ITR before the deadline is the way to avoid one.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The TDS and Transactions Summary shows ₹0.00 in TDS Deducted. Is that a problem?">
    Not necessarily. Some exchanges don't deduct TDS at source — particularly international platforms like Binance. A ₹0.00 TDS figure just means no TDS was deducted by that exchange. Your transactions are still taxable, and you'll need to account for the tax liability yourself when filing your ITR.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between 'View My Tax Reports' and 'Detailed Tax Calculation'?">
    **View My Tax Reports** takes you to your generated tax report, which includes all the reports you need for ITR filing. **Detailed Tax Calculation** opens the Tax Breakdown modal directly on the Overview Page — it gives you a quick line-by-line summary of your estimated gains, tax amounts, TDS credit, and net tax payable without leaving the page.
