Why are market prices for specific tokens missing in KoinX, and how can I fix it?
KoinX keeps price data for thousands of coins at many different times. If you see XYZ showing up with a zero cost or a “Missing Price” warning, it simply means KoinX doesn’t have a recorded price for XYZ at the moment of your transaction. This can happen if XYZ is very new, thinly traded, or the price feed was unavailable for some reason.
How to fix it
Log in to KoinX
Find the “Can’t Find Price” alerts
- Visit the Transaction Page
-
Click on the Warnings filter in your Transactions page.
-
Select Can’t Find Price to list all transactions missing a price.
Correct each transaction
- Click Fix Now next to the XYZ transaction.
- Enter the Market Price of XYZ at the time you made that trade.
- Hit Save.
Repeat until clear
- Go through each warning until there are no more “Missing Price” errors.
Let KoinX recalculate
- Once all prices are filled in, KoinX will automatically update your portfolio values.
- KoinX will update tax figures with the correct costs.
By adding the right market price for XYZ, you’ll restore accurate cost data and ensure your portfolio and tax reports reflect the true value of every transaction.
