## Connect BitBns to KoinX

**Direct Connect links your BitBns account to KoinX instantly via OAuth - recommended for most users.** Use File Upload if you want manual control over your transaction history or need to import older data. Use KoinX Connect if you'd like a guided, automated browser extension to extract and upload your reports for you.

    ## Direct Connect notes

    <Note>
      * **OAuth is secure** - KoinX connects via BitBns's official authorisation flow and never accesses your login credentials.
      * **Real-time syncing** - KoinX fetches new BitBns transactions each time you trigger a sync from the Integrations panel.

## Frequently asked questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Which method should I use - Direct Connect or File Upload?">
    Direct Connect is recommended for most users. It links instantly via OAuth, requires no file management, and syncs automatically. Use File Upload if you need to import a specific date range manually or if Direct Connect is unavailable.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need to upload both CSV files for File Upload?">
    Yes. Both the Trade History CSV and the Bitdroplet Transaction CSV are required. The Bitdroplet file covers margin and P2P trades that are not included in the standard Trade History export. Uploading only one file will result in missing transactions.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why is each BitBns export limited to 1 year?">
    BitBns restricts each CSV export to a maximum date range of 1 year. If your history spans multiple years, export one file per year for each report type and upload all files together in one KoinX session.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where will BitBns send the CSV files?">
    BitBns sends the CSV files to your registered email address after you click Mail Report. Check your Spam or Junk folder if the email has not arrived within 30 minutes. You can request a resend from the same page if needed.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does KoinX support my country's crypto tax rules?">
    Yes. KoinX supports 100+ countries with dedicated report formats for India, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and more. After importing your BitBns data, select your country to generate the correct report.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is KoinX Connect and how is it different from File Upload?">
    KoinX Connect is a Chrome extension that automates the File Upload process end-to-end. Instead of manually exporting CSVs and uploading them yourself, the extension logs into BitBns, requests the report, monitors your Gmail, downloads the file, and uploads it to KoinX - you only need to click Submit at the end.
  </Accordion>

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Direct Connect is not redirecting back to KoinX">
    Ensure you clicked **Allow** on the BitBns OAuth page. If the redirect failed, clear your browser cache, log in to BitBns directly, and retry the connection from **KoinX** -> **Integrations** -> **BitBns** -> **Direct Connect**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="CSV email has not arrived">
    Verify your registered email address is correct in your BitBns profile. Check your Spam or Junk folder. If the email has not arrived after 30 minutes, return to the Trade Reports page and click Mail Report again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Transactions are missing after CSV upload">
    Confirm both the Trade History and Bitdroplet Transaction files were uploaded. If records from specific years are missing, export a separate file for each year and upload all files together in one KoinX session.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Bitdroplet trades are missing from KoinX">
    The Bitdroplet Transaction CSV must be uploaded alongside the Trade History file. Go to **BitBns** -> **Orders** -> **Trade History** -> **Bitdroplet Transaction**, export the file, and re-upload both files together in KoinX.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="CSV file won't upload to KoinX">
    Upload the original CSV files received from BitBns via email without opening or editing them. Opening files in Excel or Google Sheets reformats the structure and causes upload errors in KoinX.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="KoinX is showing duplicate BitBns transactions">
    Check **KoinX** -> **Integrations** for duplicate BitBns connections and remove any extras. If both a Direct Connect sync and a CSV upload were done for the same period, remove one and retain only a single connection method.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="KoinX Connect is stuck waiting for the Gmail report">
    Do not close the Gmail tab while the extension is working. Report generation can take up to 15 minutes. Check your Spam or Junk folder for the BitBns email, and confirm the Gmail account open in the browser is the one linked to your BitBns account.
  </Accordion>
