## Frequently asked questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Which method should I use - Tax API Key or File Upload?">
    Tax API Key is recommended for most users. It connects automatically, requires no file management, and syncs your full history. Use File Upload if you want manual control over which date range is imported or if your account has data beyond the 24-month fund flow limit.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does Bitget use a separate Tax API page?">
    Bitget provides a dedicated Tax API at bitget.site/taxes-api specifically for third-party tax integrations. This key is separate from the standard API Management keys and does not require a passphrase when connecting to KoinX.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why is the Bitget spot export limited to 90 days?">
    Bitget restricts spot order exports to a maximum 90-day window per file. If your history spans a longer period, export each 90-day window separately and upload all files together in one KoinX session - KoinX deduplicates overlapping records automatically.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Bitget provide tax reports directly?">
    No. Bitget does not provide tax-ready reports for direct filing. By connecting via Tax API or uploading your CSV files to KoinX, your full transaction history is processed and a compliant, country-specific tax report is generated within minutes.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does KoinX support my country's crypto tax rules?">
    Yes. KoinX supports 100+ countries with dedicated report formats for India, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and more. After importing your Bitget data, select your country to generate the correct report.
  </Accordion>

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="API key error on connection">
    Confirm the key was generated at [bitget.site/taxes-api](https://www.bitget.site/taxes-api) and not the standard API Management page. Delete the credentials in KoinX and re-enter both values carefully - copy directly from Bitget to avoid missing characters. Leave the Passphrase field blank.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="CSV file won't upload to KoinX">
    Re-export fresh CSV files from Bitget without opening them. Opening files in Excel or Google Sheets reformats the structure and breaks the upload. Upload all file types together in one KoinX session.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Transactions are missing after sync or upload">
    For Tax API: trigger a manual re-sync from **KoinX** -> **Integrations** -> **Bitget**. For File Upload: confirm Spot, USDT-M Futures, USDC-M Futures, and Fund Flows files were all exported and uploaded. For fund flow data older than 24 months, contact Bitget Support.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="API sync keeps failing">
    Check the Bitget platform for ongoing maintenance. If operational, verify the key is still active at [bitget.site/taxes-api](https://www.bitget.site/taxes-api). Regenerate if expired, re-enter credentials in KoinX, and trigger a fresh sync.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Fund flow data older than 24 months is missing">
    Bitget's self-service fund flow export covers only the last 24 months. For older data, contact Bitget Customer Support via Live Chat and request a full historical fund flow export, then upload it alongside your other files in KoinX.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="KoinX is showing duplicate Bitget transactions">
    Check **KoinX** -> **Integrations** for duplicate Bitget connections and remove any extras. If both a Tax API sync and CSV uploads were done for the same period, remove one and retain only a single connection method.
  </Accordion>
