# How to Generate Your CoinSpot Tax Report with KoinX

> Connect your CoinSpot Exchange account to KoinX in a few steps to generate tax reports compliant with your local jurisdiction.

## Connect CoinSpot to KoinX

**CoinSpot uses File Upload only - export both CSV report types and upload them together in KoinX.**

    ## Download your CoinSpot CSV reports

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Log in to CoinSpot on desktop">
        Go to [coinspot.com.au](https://www.coinspot.com.au) and sign in. Use the desktop version - menu options including Order History may not be available on mobile.

      <Step title="Open Order History">
        Click the **Profile icon** in the top right corner and select **Order History** from the dropdown.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Download both CSV reports">
        Download the following two reports:

        | **Buys/Sells CSV**     | All buy and sell order history  |
        | **Sends/Receives CSV** | All on-chain sends and receives |

        The files will be downloaded to your device or sent to your registered email address. Do not open them.

          Both files are required. KoinX needs the Buys/Sells and Sends/Receives CSVs together to correctly calculate your gains and portfolio. Uploading only one file will result in an incomplete transaction history.

      Always download reports covering your full financial year history. Partial exports lead to missing transactions and inaccurate tax calculations.

    ## Upload to KoinX

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open KoinX Integrations">
        Log in to [app.koinx.com](https://app.koinx.com) -> **Integrations** -> **Add Integration**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Select CoinSpot">
        Search for **CoinSpot** and select it.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Upload both files">
        Click **Upload** and select both your CoinSpot CSV files - Buys/Sells and Sends/Receives. Multi-select works.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Submit">
        Click **Submit**. KoinX processes your files and imports your full transaction history.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    <Check>
      **Done.** KoinX reads your transactions, classifies them, and prepares everything for gains calculation and report generation.
    </Check>

    Now that your CoinSpot files are in, head to [Tax Reports](https://app.koinx.com/tax-report) on KoinX - your capital gains across buys, sells, sends, and receives are already calculated and your report is ready to download.

      **Never open or edit the CoinSpot CSV files before uploading.** This corrupts the file format. If you already did - re-download fresh copies from CoinSpot and upload those instead.

## Frequently asked questions

    Yes. KoinX requires both the Buys/Sells CSV and the Sends/Receives CSV to correctly calculate your gains and portfolio. Uploading only one file will result in missing transactions and an inaccurate tax report.

  <Accordion title="Where do I find Order History on CoinSpot?">
    Order History is accessible from the **Profile icon** dropdown in the top right corner. If you cannot see it, ensure you are using the desktop version of CoinSpot - some menu options including Order History are not available on mobile.

  <Accordion title="Will CoinSpot email the CSV files or download them directly?">
    Depending on your account settings, CoinSpot may download the files directly to your device or send them to your registered email address. Check both your downloads folder and inbox after requesting the export.

  <Accordion title="Does CoinSpot provide tax reports directly?">
    No. CoinSpot does not provide tax-ready reports for direct filing. By exporting your CSV files and importing them into KoinX, your full transaction history is processed and a compliant, country-specific crypto tax report is generated within minutes.

    Yes. KoinX supports ATO-compliant tax reports for Australia as well as 100+ other countries. After importing your CoinSpot data, select Australia to generate the correct report for your financial year.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="Order History option is not visible on CoinSpot">
    Switch to the desktop version of CoinSpot. Go to [coinspot.com.au](https://www.coinspot.com.au) in a desktop browser, sign in, and access Order History from the **Profile icon** dropdown. The option may not appear in the mobile app or mobile browser view.

  <Accordion title="Transactions are missing after upload">
    Check that both the Buys/Sells CSV and the Sends/Receives CSV were uploaded. If records from specific periods are missing, confirm the files cover your full financial year history and re-upload both files together in one KoinX session.

  <Accordion title="CSV file won't upload to KoinX">
    Re-download fresh copies of both files from CoinSpot without opening them. Opening the files in Excel or Google Sheets reformats date and number columns, breaking the file structure KoinX expects.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="KoinX is showing an error on one of the files">
    Confirm the file is the original unedited CSV downloaded directly from CoinSpot. Delete the affected file from the upload, re-download it from CoinSpot, and re-upload both files together.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="KoinX is showing duplicate CoinSpot transactions">
    This happens when overlapping CSV files covering the same date range are uploaded. Go to **KoinX** -> **Integrations**, remove the duplicate CoinSpot upload, and re-upload a clean set of files with no overlapping date ranges.

  <Accordion title="CSV was sent to email but the file is missing">
    Check your spam or junk folder for the email from CoinSpot. If it has not arrived after a few minutes, log in to CoinSpot and re-request the export from **Order History**.
