# How to Import KuCoin Transactions into KoinX

> Export your KuCoin transaction history as CSV files and import into KoinX to generate your crypto tax report. Covers spot, margin, futures, P2P, and earn.

## Connect KuCoin to KoinX

**KuCoin uses File Upload only - export all transaction types and upload all files together in one KoinX session.**

    ## Download your KuCoin transaction history

      <Step title="Log in to KuCoin and open Export History">
        Go to [kucoin.com](https://www.kucoin.com) and sign in. Navigate to the **Export History** section, or go to [kucoin.com/account/download](https://www.kucoin.com/account/download) directly.

      <Step title="Select transaction type">
        Select the type of transaction report you want to download - Spot, Margin, Futures, P2P, Earn, and any others available. Repeat the export for each transaction type.

          Select all available transaction types even if you have not used them. KuCoin exports a single ZIP file containing around 33 different CSV files - extract and upload all files together. KoinX automatically picks the required files and ignores non-relevant ones.

      <Step title="Set your date range">
        Choose the date range covering your full trading history. Set the start date to your first trade and the end date to yesterday. You can also export per financial year (e.g. 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025) to cover all financial years separately.

          KuCoin limits exports to 1 year per file. If your history spans multiple years, export year by year and upload all files together in one KoinX session.

        Click **Export** to generate the report. Once ready, download the ZIP file. Extract the contents before uploading to KoinX. Do not open or edit any CSV files.

          KuCoin notifies you via email or SMS when the export is ready. Download links are valid for 30 days - download promptly. You can also send the report to a third-party email by clicking Email on the Recent Exports page.

    ## Upload to KoinX

      <Step title="Open KoinX Integrations">
        Log in to [app.koinx.com](https://app.koinx.com) -> **Integrations** -> **Add Integration**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Select KuCoin">
        Search for **KuCoin** and select the **File Upload** method.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Upload all your files">
        Click **Upload** and select all your extracted KuCoin CSV files at once. Multi-select works - upload all years and all transaction types together.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Submit">
        Click **Submit** and wait for KoinX to process and import your full KuCoin transaction history.
      </Step>

    <Check>
      **Done.** KoinX reads your transactions, classifies them, deduplicates overlapping records, and prepares everything for gains calculation and report generation.

    Now that your KuCoin files are in, head to [Tax Reports](https://app.koinx.com/tax-report) on KoinX - your capital gains across spot, futures, P2P, staking, and earn are already calculated and your report is ready to download.

      **Never open or edit any KuCoin CSV files before uploading.** This corrupts the file format. If you already did - re-export fresh copies from KuCoin and upload those instead.

    **KoinX Connect is a Chrome extension that automates the entire KuCoin export and import process for you.** It drives the export flow on KuCoin in the background, downloads and extracts the ZIP, and uploads every CSV to KoinX automatically - you only need to log in where prompted.

    ## Quick steps

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Open KoinX Connect and select KuCoin">
        Click the KoinX Connect extension icon in Chrome → select **KuCoin** from the list of supported exchanges.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Set date range and start extraction">
        The panel shows **KuCoin Report Extraction** and pre-fills your current financial year dates - adjust if needed. Set your **From Date** and **To Date** → click **Start Extraction**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Log in to KuCoin if prompted">
        The extension opens KuCoin and checks if you're logged in. If not, log in before proceeding. No other action is needed.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Wait for KuCoin to generate files">
        KuCoin can take anywhere from 30 minutes to \~2 hours to generate the files. The extension monitors the Export History page automatically and keeps checking until everything is ready.
      </Step>

      <Step title="ZIP downloads, extracts, and uploads automatically">
        Once ready, the extension downloads the ZIP, extracts all CSV files, and uploads them to the KoinX Integrate KuCoin page. The wallet is named **KuCoin-1** by default.

      <Step title="Log in to KoinX if prompted">
        If you're not signed in to KoinX, log in when asked - the extension waits and resumes automatically once you're signed in.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Review and submit">
        All extracted CSV files are attached to the KoinX upload form. Review them and click **Submit** to finish.
      </Step>

    <Check>
      **Done.** KoinX processes the uploaded files and syncs your KuCoin transactions. The new integration appears as **KuCoin-1** on your Integrations page.

    ## What KoinX Connect automates

    <Note>
      Behind the scenes, the extension configures and submits the export for you:

      * Opens KuCoin's Export History page and the Export dialog.
      * Selects all markets and transaction types supported by KoinX, sets your custom date range, enables Sub-Accounts, and sets the file type to CSV.
      * Confirms the export request on KuCoin's summary modal.
      * Since KuCoin limits each export to a maximum of **1 year**, if your date range spans more than a year the extension automatically splits it into multiple requests, submitted one after another.

      You'll see status messages like *"STEP 1 - EXCHANGE LOGIN: Checking KuCoin login status..."*, *"STEP 2 - TRADE REPORT: Looking for Export button..."*, and *"STEP 4 - KOINX UPLOAD: Please log in to KoinX to continue."* as each stage completes.

    ## Important alerts

    <Warning>
      * KuCoin limits each export to a maximum of **1 year per request** and **20 exports per month**.
      * File generation can take anywhere from **30 minutes to \~2 hours** - the extension waits automatically, so just leave the tab open.
      * Only filled or partially filled orders are exported, due to KuCoin resource constraints.
      * Billing data is supported from after **September 16, 2017** only.
      * Download links on KuCoin expire after **30 days**.

## Frequently asked questions

    Yes. Select all available transaction types - Spot, Margin, Futures, P2P, Earn, and others - even if you have not used some of them. KuCoin bundles everything into a single ZIP with around 33 CSV files. Upload all extracted files together and KoinX picks the relevant ones automatically.

## Troubleshooting

    Ensure all transaction types were selected when generating the export. Re-export with all options selected, extract the ZIP, and re-upload all CSV files together in one KoinX session.

  <Accordion title="CSV files won't upload to KoinX">
    Re-download fresh CSV files from KuCoin without opening or modifying them. Extract the ZIP and upload the original unmodified files. Opening files in Excel or Google Sheets reformats the structure and breaks the upload.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Export failed or file is incomplete">
    Try exporting with a smaller date range. Large date ranges can sometimes cause export failures on KuCoin's end. Split the range and upload all files together in KoinX.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Monthly export limit reached">
    KuCoin allows 20 exports per month. If you have reached the limit, wait for the monthly reset or contact KuCoin support for assistance.

  <Accordion title="Download link has expired">
    KuCoin download links are valid for 30 days only. If your link has expired, go back to Export History and re-generate the export.

  <Accordion title="KoinX is showing duplicate KuCoin transactions">
    This happens when overlapping CSV files covering the same date range are uploaded. Go to **KoinX** -> **Integrations**, remove the duplicate KuCoin upload, and re-upload a clean set of files with no overlapping date ranges.
