## Connect WhiteBIT to KoinX

**API Key syncs your full WhiteBIT transaction history automatically - no file exports needed.**

    ## Generate your WhiteBIT API key

        Go to [whitebit.com](https://www.whitebit.com) and sign in to your account.

        Click the **profile icon** in the top right corner and select **API**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Generate a new API key">
        Click **Generate a New Key** to create a new API key.

        <Warning>
          Enable read-only permissions only when configuring the key. Never enable trading or withdrawal permissions on an API key connected to a third-party service.

      <Step title="Copy your API key and Secret Key">
        Copy both your **API Key** and **Secret Key** and store them securely. The Secret Key is shown only once.

    ## Connect WhiteBIT to KoinX

        Log in to [app.koinx.com](https://app.koinx.com) -> **Integrations** -> **Add Integration**.

      <Step title="Select WhiteBIT">
        Search for **WhiteBIT** and select it.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Paste your keys and import">
        Paste your **API Key** and **Secret Key** into the respective fields and click **Import Now**.
      </Step>

    <Check>
      **Done.** KoinX begins syncing your WhiteBIT history. Large accounts may take a few minutes.

    Once your WhiteBIT data is in, head over to [Tax Reports](https://app.koinx.com/tax-report) on KoinX - your capital gains, income breakdown, and country-specific crypto tax report are ready for you there.

      * **Secret Key is shown once only** - copy it immediately at the time of creation and store it securely.

    Read Only permissions only. This gives KoinX access to your full transaction history without the ability to place trades or move funds. Never generate an API key with broader permissions for a third-party service.

    No. WhiteBIT displays the Secret Key only once at the time of creation. Copy it immediately and store it securely. If lost, delete the key from the API section in your profile and generate a new one.

    Yes. Crypto is subject to taxes set by the relevant authority in your country. You must report your WhiteBIT transactions to avoid penalties from inaccurate or missing tax filings.

## Troubleshooting

    Confirm read-only permissions are set in **WhiteBIT** -> **Profile** -> **API**. Delete the credentials in KoinX and re-enter both values carefully - copy directly from WhiteBIT to avoid invisible characters.

  <Accordion title="Transactions are missing after sync">
    Ensure the transaction history covers the full period from your WhiteBIT account creation date with no gaps. Trigger a manual re-sync from **KoinX** -> **Integrations** -> **WhiteBIT**. If records are still missing, disconnect and reconnect with a fresh API key.

  <Accordion title="API sync keeps failing">
    Check the WhiteBIT platform for ongoing maintenance. If the platform is operational, verify the key is still active under **Profile** -> **API**. Regenerate if expired, re-enter credentials in KoinX, and trigger a fresh sync.

    WhiteBIT API keys can become inactive following account security changes. Log in to WhiteBIT, check the key status under **Profile** -> **API**, and regenerate if inactive. Update the new credentials in KoinX under **Integrations** -> **WhiteBIT** -> **Edit**.
