Founded in 2018, ZERC or ZeroClassic is a private cryptocurrency and transaction platform working on the pre-fork Zero Blockchain, a Bitcoin fork. It follows the consensus rules exactly as the creator intended. It uses the hashing algorithm Equihash 192.7 and requires high-end GPUs and CPUs to mine it.
A fork of ZCash and Zero, it has an added protection layer in the form of the zk-SNARKs protocol, which shields its transactions. The change in consensus rules included adding a developer fee and a coin cap. So can you really earn profits from ZERC mining? What all does ZERC mining require? All these details have been adequately explained in the article on how to mine ZERC below. Read on!
Is ZeroClassic (ZERC) Mining Profitable?
Like most coins, the profitability depends on several conditions and landscapes such as electricity consumption, payment fees, and market sentiment. Currently, you can profit from ZERC if the cost of electricity for you is less than 0.265 USD per kWh using an RTX 3090 and less than 0.321 USD per kWh while using an RTX 3080Ti.

Select A Mining Software
As the mining algorithm, Equihash 192.7, is ASIC-resistant, we shall use miners, which can bypass such problems. These miners will use GPUs intended for home use to mine coins. Some of the supported miners are:
- GMiner
- NBMiner
- T-Rex
- MiniZ
- GMiner-AMD
Get All The Required Mining Hardware
For full utilization of your power and internet bills, a Microsoft Windows operating system and a High-End GPU like the RTX 3090 would be the required mining hardware. For AMD GPUs, an RX 6800 XT would be more than enough.
Configure the Hardware and Software
Download the desired Miner and extract the files on your computer. The password for the .zip file of MiniZ is (miniZ). Find the .bat files in the Miner folder, and edit the Wallet address and mining pool port values. After replacing all the related data, save these files as a .bat file and run them to start the mining process.
Join A Mining Pool
There are 2 mining pools officially supported by ZERC. These are:

How Does ZeroClassic (ZERC) Mining Work?
ZERC Mining works on the hash algorithm Equihash 192.7. It requires high-end GPUs and CPUs and is ASIC-Resistant, which promotes inclusiveness and openness in the ZERC ecosystem. Using zk-SNARKSs, ZERC offers privacy using a Zero-Knowledge proving scheme, which ensures that transaction metadata stays confidential.
How Long Does It Take to Mine One ZERC?
With a single unit of the RTX 3090, it would take 1 hour to mine 1 ZERC. In the case of an RTX 3080TI, it would also take 1 hour to mine one ZERC. The current ZERC network hashrate is 101 H/s. You can calculate the time it takes for your rig to mine one ZERC by providing values such as the current hash rate, electricity charges, and more using these calculators:
How Difficult Is It to Mine ZeroClassic (ZERC)?
The difficulty of mining ZERC depends on various contributing factors such as competition, pool attendance, hardware capabilities, and internet connection. The current difficulty rate for mining ZERC token is 432.0309K.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I claim coins from ZERO?
You need to install the ZeroClassic Wallet and import your ZERO private key. After synching with the wallet, all funds available at a fork height of 412300 will be available as ZERC. To get the ZeroClassic Wallet, choose a wallet according to your operating system. Choose from Daemon + CLI, Swing Wallet, or Modern Wallet.
Who owns ZeroClassic?
There is no one owner of the cryptocurrency ZeroClassic. The lead developers are Miodrag, Nicola “Jacko0088”, and Taylor “Potato.” These people are Web3 and software developers spread across the globe, using the computational powers of nodes to run this coin. They implemented the Equihash algorithm and the zk-SNARKs protocol to make this a privacy coin. ZERC Coin has not taken any funding as, well.
What differentiates ZeroClassic from Zcash?
The primary differentiator is no developer fees, no founder rewards, no funding streams, and no halving. The PoW (Proof of Work) algorithm resists ASICs. The team behind ZeroClassic is not a multinational corporation with VC funding, but a few developers with a drive for technology, freedom, and privacy.
