Open the Custom File Template
Before you begin, you’ll need the official KoinX Custom File Template to enter your transaction information.
- Open KoinX Custom File Template on Google Sheets.
- For reference, see the KoinX Sample Spreadsheet, which includes example data.
Fill in Your Transaction Details
Once you have the template, you must fill in the details for each trade you want to import. Here is a summary of the necessary and optional fields:
Save the File as an .xlsx
After entering all the necessary transaction data:
- Click File > Download > Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) in Google Sheets.
- Ensure your file is stored in .xlsx format, as KoinX does not support other formats for custom imports.

Log In to Your KoinX Account
- Navigate to KoinX Platform
- Please sign in by entering your credentials to access your dashboard.

Go to the Integrations Tab
- On your dashboard, select Integrations from the menu.

Click Custom File Under the Integrations Page
- Click “Add Integration” on the top right corner.
- Use the search or scroll function to locate “Custom File” in the list of available integrations.
- Click “Custom File” to begin the integration process.

Select the .xlsx File from Your Computer
Now that you’ve accessed the KoinX Custom File integration, it’s time to upload your transaction file:
- Click the section that says “Click or drag files to this area to upload”.
- Locate the .xlsx file you previously saved to your PC.
- Ensure you select the right file, formatted according to the KoinX Custom File Template.
- You can drag and drop the file from your system or choose a file to upload.

Click Upload, and KoinX Will Process Your Transactions
- Click the “Upload” button to begin importing your transactions.
- KoinX will start processing the file, analysing the data, and categorising the transactions.
- Wait for the message confirming a successful upload.
- If there are any errors (such as incorrect formatting), KoinX will alert you so you can correct and re-upload the file.

Why Use Custom File Integration?
- Import data from several sources that lack direct integration with KoinX.
- Maintain accuracy by manually verifying and structuring your transaction history.
- Accurately labeled transactions help you to track gains, losses, and tax liabilities easily.
