Which Coin Should I Buy?
KoinX is a tax reporting and portfolio tracking platform, not an exchange, trading platform, or investment advisory service. We don’t provide investment advice, coin recommendations, buy/sell signals, market predictions, or financial guidance. The portfolio data KoinX displays, including current values, unrealised gains, and top gainers and losers, is purely informational. It is based on your imported transaction history and current market prices. Can You Realise My Unrealised Gains?
No. KoinX displays your portfolio. We don’t hold your crypto or process trades. To convert unrealised gains into actual cash:
Once you sell, those gains become realised and may be taxable. KoinX will capture the sale transaction on your next sync and calculate the tax impact automatically.
Why Is My Portfolio Different from CoinMarketCap?
Your KoinX portfolio may show different values than CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, or similar aggregators. This is expected. Here is why: Different data sources: KoinX uses your actual on-chain and exchange transaction data. Market cap sites show global averages and aggregated figures. Timing differences: KoinX calculates at the time of sync or report generation. Market cap sites update every few seconds from live feeds. What you are comparing: KoinX shows your specific holdings with your cost basis, acquisition dates, and realised P&L. Market cap sites show global market data, which is circulating supply multiplied by current price. Other factors: Different price sources across exchanges, missing or unsynced transactions in KoinX, how fees and transfers are handled, and illiquid tokens with unreliable pricing data.KoinX Is Not Financial Advice

Why does my portfolio show tokens I don't recognise?
Why does my portfolio show tokens I don't recognise?
Blockchain addresses are public, which means anyone can send tokens to your wallet. Scammers often airdrop worthless tokens as part of phishing schemes or pump-and-dump promotions. If you see unfamiliar tokens, mark them as spam in the Transactions tab. Do not try to sell or swap unknown tokens as some are designed to drain your wallet if you interact with them.
